Firmware Version 1.3.0 incorporates the following fix: 1. This firmware update ensures compliance with the EU RED EN18031 standard by removing certain network functions. Affected Features: Image Upload: Sending images to image.canon will be disabled. FTP Transfer & Live Streaming: These functions will no longer be available after the update. Important: Please review the following information before proceeding with the update. ・Once installed, this update cannot be reversed. If you use these features, do not update the firmware. ・This change only affects cameras purchased in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). ・Cameras purchased in other regions will retain these functions after updating; only the firmware version will change. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Notes: Users manual in the WEB is updated accordingly. Please download the manual as well as the latest firmware. You can download it from the official WEB site. Preparations for a firmware update: After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a firmware folder is created. *Extracting the downloaded file: The downloaded folder is automatically extracted, and a firmware folder is created. If the download folder cannot be automatically extracted, double-click the folder. In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (CCF26130.FIR / file size: 15,233,488 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures. (The following is the history of past firmware updates.) Changes in version 1.2.1: 1. Improves operational stability during continuous commercial use of the camera. Changes in version 1.2.0: 1. Adds enhanced security for transferring captured images to image.canon. After July 2023, please update to this firmware version so that you will be able to send images to image.canon. If you do not update to this version, an error message will appear when sending images and the image will not be sent. Changes in version 1.1.0: 1. Enables NFC connection with smartphones running Android 10 operating system. *For Android running v6.0 or later, use Camera Connect v2.7.10 or later. *For Android running v5.0 or older, use a connection method other than NFC. Changes in version 1.0.1: 1. Corrects a PTP communications vulnerability. 2. Corrects a vulnerability related to firmware update.
