Where do the firmware files come from?

They don't — GearPulse never hosts firmware. Every release links to the vendor's official download page, which is always the safest source.

How fresh is the data?

Vendor pages are checked at least daily. New findings are reviewed before publishing to avoid false alarms.

A firmware version disappeared from a vendor's site. What happens then?

We mark it as withdrawn and keep it in the product's history — vendors occasionally pull firmware that causes problems, and knowing that matters.

Why doesn't my camera or lens have a product image?

We only show images we can attribute to the exact product from the vendor's own pages. When we can't be certain, we show none rather than guessing wrong.

A vendor or product is missing. Can you add it?

Probably! Reach out via the contact form and we'll look at it. Some vendors actively block monitoring, which can limit what we can track.
